Laundry/Valet Services- : Paradise with a uniquely British flavor. Columbus discovered the Cayman Islands in 1503, calling them "Las Tortugas" (the Turtles) because of the abundance of sea turtles he found there. Much like their early days, the Cayman Islands today are a place where life is lived at a relaxing pace, revolving almost entirely around idle days filled with sand, sun and sea. They are a haven for underwater exploration in dazzling coral reefs... strolling down an astonishingly beautiful white-sand beach...and sipping cooling tropical beverages under a grandly colonnaded cabana. Located on Grand Cayman in the British West Indies, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Resort and Villas is a refuge of tranquillity...nestled on a glorious stretch of Seven Mile Beach.
- Cayman National Theatre Company: Productions ranging from Cayman drama to Shakespeare; as well as West Indian musicals and Broadway reviews. North Church Street; 9-5477.
- Cayman Turtle Farm: The only green sea turtle farm of its kind in the world, and the most popular land-based tourist attraction in the Caymans. The islands once had a multitude of turtles (which is why Columbus called the islands "Las Tortugas"), but today these creatures are few in number and are an endangered species. The turtle farm provides the local market with turtle meat and replenishes the waters with hatchling and yearling turtles. Turtles range in size from six ounces to 600 pounds. Northwest Point; 9-3894.
- Stingray City: A phenomenon hailed as one of the most rewarding experiences in the undersea world. Southern stingrays play the hosts in Cayman crystal waters. Snorkel or dive in 8-15 feet waters and experience the thrilling sight and touch of these extraordinary creatures.
- Atlantis Submarine: Explore Caymans Natural Marine Parks without ever getting wet. Climb aboard the advanced technology of Atlantis Submarine. The Sub can seat 48 passengers and 3 crew as it dives to 100 feet, where it glides along the dramatic Cayman reef wall. For the more adventurous, there is a deep diving submarine that will carry 2 passengers and a captain to a depth of 800 feet. See spectacular coral formation and delicate marine animals.
- Botanic Park: 1 mile display of Caymanian landscape. A variety of exoctic flora and fauna grace the tangled woods. The park is also home to many species of native wildlife. A scenic 25 minute drive from George Town, open 7 days a week, 7:30 AM to dusk.
- Cardinal D's Park: Bird Sanctuary and natural gardens. There are over 60 species of exoctic birds, native animals and petting zoo. Located only 5 minutes from the Hyatt or from George Town. Open daily 12:00 Noon to 6:00PM. Guided tours available.
- Treasury Discovery Centre & Museum: Wide assortment of exhibits relating to Columbus, sunken treasure and the "lore 'n legends" of pirates. West Bay Road; 7-5033.
