Branson Travel Guide
Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Branson, Missouri has become one of the hottest destinations in the United States!
This small town, population 6,000, often referred to as the "Family Friendly Las Vegas" or the "Live Entertainment Capital of the World" hosts more than 7 million visitors each year. This reputation is due in large part to what it has to offer its tourists. Several notable museums are in Branson: the Veterans Memorial Museum, the Hollywood Wax Museum, the World's Largest Toy Museum, and the American Presidential Museum. Other historical attractions include Titanic: The Legend Continues, and Ripley's Believe It or Not! Branson is home to the award-winning theme park, Silver Dollar City and ten championship golf courses. Branson also features 49 live performance theaters with a total of 100 performing shows and 56,228 theater seats; more seats than New York City has on Broadway!
Shopping is also a popular experience in Branson, MO. The city hosts over 200 brand name outlet stores, including those found in the upscale Branson Landing, as well as other quaint stores that are unique only to Branson. Everything from crafts, jewelry, clothing and unique hand-crafted home items can be found in Branson. Music in Branson is equally diverse and accessible; you can find everything from rock to country, from gospel to R&B/hip hop.
For those seeking to escape the mainstream of Branson, there is always the outdoors. Branson’s White River Basin in the Ozark Mountains has arguably the best bass and trout fishing in the country. Dams were constructed along this river to change the White River into three recreational areas, which created three lakes and year round fishing and recreation. Regardless of whatever entertainment you are looking for, from the bright lights to the outdoors, Branson has something for everyone!

Guest Review (04/08/07) - We found the Grand Oaks Hotel to be very clean and were happy with its location. When checking in, be sure to ask for the main building as I've heard its much nicer.Guest Review (07/28/07) - My wife and I regularly visit Branson, but had never stayed at the Grand Oaks Hotel. We chose it this time because of its location and the building looked nice. The rooms were very clean and the price was reasonable. I thought the beds were fine, but my wife complained about the beds being too stiff and she didn't like the plastic mattress cover. I would stay again, but I'm not sure I could convince my wife.
Guest Review (09/20/07) - The staff was friendly enough, but the check-in time was a little slow. The walls were a little thin. We could hear other guests and hallway activities clearly from our room.
